Roche Bobois is a French company that, since its founding in 1960, has been dedicated to marketing high-end furniture collections, sofas, and other accessories. The company arose from the partnership between Philippe and François Roche, owners of a shop in Paris, and Jean-Claude and Patrick Chouchan, then owners of the Au Beau Bois store. After meeting in 1960 at the Copenhagen trade fair, they began manufacturing and importing Scandinavian furniture to Paris. They then started selling this furniture and other accessories, such as textiles, tableware, and upholstery, in their boutiques. They even dedicated a floor to renovation and decoration projects, thus giving birth to the renowned Roche Bobois brand.
Over the decades, they have established themselves as one of the world's most important luxury interior design houses, skillfully combining and reinterpreting traditional French furniture with foreign influences, both Nordic and Bauhaus. Since the beginning of the 21st century, the brand has expanded internationally with the establishment of boutiques worldwide.
