Cesca B32 chairs inspired by Marcel Breuer's famous design, as the designer did not sign his creations at the time. Made in the second half of the 20th century, they feature a cantilevered, chromed tubular steel frame, a seat and backrest in woven wicker, and a natural wood frame.
Dimensions: H83 x W45 x D45 cm.
How to recognize a genuine Cesca B32:
The steel tubing is a single piece on the original, whereas copies assemble a top and bottom section.
The seat is straight and uniform, while replicas often have a downward curve.
The wooden frames are thin and elegant, unlike the thicker frames of copies.
Early editions by Thonet or Gavina may have a discreet logo, but Breuer did not sign his pieces. Some modern reproductions simply bear "Made in Italy."
A timeless icon of the Bauhaus movement, the Cesca B32 chair combines comfort and elegance.
A rare piece, blending Scandinavian elegance, comfort, and craftsmanship, selected by Furniture1960.
