This bottle comes from a special "political circus" series.
Indeed, the prize for political humor undoubtedly goes to the Jim Beam decanter collection:
This series, launched in 1956, offers two decanters per presidential year, each representing an animal symbolizing the Democratic Party (the donkey) and the Republican Party (the elephant), in various guises and situations.
In excellent condition with its original polystyrene tricorn hat.
This special edition dates from 1976, when the presidential election coincided with the bicentennial of the founding of the United States of America.
