This impressive ceramic floor vase was designed by Hans Welling for the renowned West German manufacturer Ceramano. The "Rubin" model, with the form number 246, is an outstanding example of the experimental fat lava glaze technique of the Mid-Century era and captivates with its sculptural presence.
The vessel is crafted from high-quality ceramic and features a striking, highly textured surface. The deep black and dark brown base glaze is punctuated by vibrant red, relief-like accents reminiscent of flowing lava. The vase has an elegantly curved handle and an asymmetrical mouth. The underside is clearly marked with the model number, the "Rubin" designation, the manufacturer's name Ceramano, and the inscription "W.GERMANY Handarbeit," confirming its authentic provenance and handcrafted production in West Germany.
