An icon of Italian design, the two-seater Maralunga sofa was designed by Vico Magistretti for Cassina in 1973. Winner of the Compasso d’Oro in 1979, it is part of the MoMA's permanent collection in New York, a symbol of timeless innovation and refinement. This exemplar, distinguished by the Cassina brand, measures 168 cm (length) x 95 cm (depth) x 72/100 cm (height, with adjustable headrest). Completely reupholstered in an elegant forest green velvet, soft and luminous, it has undergone professional restoration: reinforced frame, smooth mechanisms, cushions renewed with high-resilience foam and siliconized padding. Every detail – from the stainless steel tubing to the satin base – has been brought back to its original splendour.
