An extraordinary and highly collectible Mid-Century modern masterpiece designed by Carlo Nason and produced by the prestigious Aureliano Toso furnace in Murano, Italy, during the late 1970s. This specific piece represents a luxury, custom-grade variant of the classic mushroom lamp, boasting premium materials and rare documentation that make it a true museum-quality investment.
A Masterpiece of Materials and Luxury Details
The Amethyst Gems: Unlike standard production models, this lamp features 3 massive, hand-shaped Murano glass inserts in a rare amethyst-purple hue. Bound in polished brass claws, they act as safe-guards for the glass shade while creating a magnificent color contrast.
Hand-Blown Glass: The generous mushroom shade (40 cm diameter) and the elegant central stem are crafted from pristine, hand-blown incamiciato satin Murano glass. Weighing a substantial 4.4 kg, the density of the glass ensures a perfectly uniform, soft, and glare-free ambient glow.
Organic Silhouette: The intentional, slight organic tilting of the stem and the asymmetric arrangement of the three arms are proof of its 100% hand-crafted nature. It is a sculptural light born exactly this way in the furnace.
