Cordless Table Lamp in Cari Zalloni Ceramics – Cityscape Collection
This exceptional table lamp is part of Roomlight Studio's Cityscape Collection and combines iconic 1970s ceramic design with contemporary textile design. The lamp base was created from an original ceramic vase by Cari Zalloni, whose designs for Steuler Keramik are now considered among the most important classics of West German pottery. His sculptural forms and architectural compositions still appear surprisingly modern, making each vase a small design object.
For Roomlight Studio's Cityscape Collection, these distinctive ceramics are combined with exclusive fabrics featuring urban skylines. The handcrafted lampshade echoes the geometric forms of the vase, translating them into a colorful composition of skyscrapers, facades, and street canyons. The stacked structures of the fabric design reflect Cari Zalloni's architectural language and create a connection between mid-century ceramics and contemporary textile design.
The vase's vibrant ruby-red glaze harmonizes perfectly with the shade's red, turquoise, and gray tones. When switched on, the colors begin to glow, giving the lamp a warm, urban ambiance—like a nighttime skyline aglow with lights.
The lamp is cordless, making it easy to place wherever atmospheric lighting is desired—on dining tables, sideboards, windowsills, bedside tables, or, in summer, on balconies and patios.
The rechargeable LED bulb is conveniently charged via USB-C and provides up to 12 hours of illumination, depending on the brightness setting. The included remote control allows you to adjust the brightness and color temperature—from warm white ambient light to neutral white. The bulb is CE-certified and can be easily replaced if needed.
Like all Roomlight Studio lamps, this unique piece was carefully crafted into a lamp. The collector's value of the original Cari Zalloni vase is preserved, as no drilling has been carried out. The reversible plug-in solution allows for easy restoration to the original state at any time. The lamp base is weighted for added stability.
