This decanter is a beautiful example of 20th-century German craftsmanship.
Here are the details of the object:
The decanter was made by the renowned Pforzheim silversmith Lutz & Weiss (founded in 1882). The company was known for its high-quality combination of crystal glass and silver mounts.
The mount on the neck of the decanter is made of 835 silver, which meets the German standard for high-quality silver. The body and stopper are made of cut crystal glass and are in excellent condition, without chips or cracks.
The square design with vertical fluting (often referred to as "fluting") is a classic style.
Marks: Crescent moon, crown, maker's mark
The maker's mark is not a bird image, but a monogram.
