Sculptural lounge chair 'Elba', designed by Italian architect Franco Raggi for Cappellini (design 1985). A true statement piece: the curved plywood shell with ash veneer embraces a fan-pleated back, with a generous leather seat cushion on an aluminium frame. A design that is different and equally beautiful from every angle.
In original, used condition. The wooden shell and frame are in beautiful condition; the leather seat cushion shows signs of wear and a warm patina befitting its age. Suitable for use as is, or a great starting point for reupholstering.
A recognizable design icon, now difficult to find as a standalone piece.
