The vase features three-dimensional floral decorations typical of the renowned Italian Capodimonte porcelain tradition. The technique of individually applying flowers, leaves, and other sculptural elements to a piece of ceramic or porcelain is a distinctive feature of the Capodimonte style, which is distinguished by an abundance of detail and the material's unique milky hue. This decorative trend became popular in Europe starting in the early 18th century, when manufacturers began producing porcelains adorned with floral motifs, partly inspired by the Orient, but developing a unique and sumptuous style. The vase dates to the early to mid-20th century. On the back, it features a crown with an N, typical of the Capodimonte trademark.
