Ceiling lamp / Chandelier, cut crystal, Hollywood Regency, 90's - Italy Material: Crystal, aluminum Style: Hollywood Regency Period: 1990s Country of origin: Italy Provenance: Private collection Good condition according to its age and use Dimensions: 70 x 65 x 40 cm. Crystal length: 40 cm. Elegant ceiling lamp or chandelier made of geometric cut crystals and an oval, concave metal structure. It has a curved, oval, concave aluminum structure from which hang around 60 chains of elongated, cut crystals (pandelocas). These chains are composed of a round-cut crystal, a long one in a rounded baguette cut, three other round ones, and some alternately also have another shorter baguette crystal. At the curved ends of the structure are four equidistant appendages, each of which hangs three chains of crystals. The sequence consists of three round crystals, one long and three round, with the exception of the central chain, where the long crystal is shorter than its neighbors. The use of clear glass and the staggered composition create a strong visual impact; in addition, the silver metal details contrast with the lightness of the glass. Light comes from five bulb sockets inside the metal structure. Technical information about power and electricity is included at the base of the structure. It hangs from the ceiling using adjustable metal threads.
