Norwegian Brutalist vase designed by Olav Joa in 1972. This vase is part of the Steel Art series and was produced in limited quantities (1972-1974) by Polaris Fabrikker / Figgjo in Norway. The vase is a special object because it is made of cast stainless steel and is therefore quite heavy. A geometric and relief-like pattern has been applied to the surface, which is typical of the Brutalist design language of the early 1970s. The vase is in very beautiful vintage condition, with the designer/manufacturer's label still present at the bottom.
