Fine and detailed bronze statue of a kneeling Japanese warrior or samurai, second half of the 20th century, unsigned. High quality and very heavy statue, it is distinguished by its very detailed finish. Made of patinated bronze, this statue is a real eye-catcher, the warrior exudes tranquility and serenity. Samurai was the aristocratic warrior class in pre-industrial Japan. They formed a prestigious social group in the service of a feudal lord from the 12th century to the late 19th century.
