A milestone of German industrial design, combining minimalist aesthetics with functional audio technology. Designed by Dieter Rams and Hans Gugelot in the 1950s, the famous Braun SK series marked a radical break with the design language of the time. The clear, Bauhaus-inspired lines forgo any ornamentation and focus on pure function. Known by the affectionate nickname "Snow White's Coffin," this combination of a tube radio and record player made its way into international design history. The off-white casing is given a gentle contrast and a warm, homely touch by light wooden side panels. A transparent acrylic glass lid protects the delicate technology while also allowing a view of the interior. The casing has been repainted and the lettering has been renewed using a screen printing process. Preserved in very good condition, this design classic radiates timeless quality.
The individual components have been checked and cleaned by a specialist workshop. Defective parts have been replaced to ensure perfect functionality.
