Abraham Gerardus (Bram) van Velde (Zoeterwoude-Rijndijk, October 19, 1895 - Grimaud, France, December 28, 1981) was a Dutch painter. Van Velde was born into a poor family. When he was thirteen years old, his father abandoned their family, which made a deep impression on him. To earn some extra money, Van Velde started working in the painting and decoration studio of Schaijk in 1907, where he remained until 1922. Here he received his initial painting training.
