The bowl was made in the 1960s in Italy.
A collectible glass bowl in the Murano sommerso style, attributed to the Mandruzzato factory. A unique piece made using the sommerso technique, which involves embedding multicoloured layers of glass in crystal mass. The geometric, faceted form with intricately cut edges emphasises the intense, deep colour of cobalt and turquoise, surrounded by transparent glass with a golden tint. This characteristic combination of colours and solid cuts is the hallmark of the legendary Mandruzzato glassworks on the island of Murano. The object impresses with the elegance and nobility of the glass, and at the same time has a high collector's value. Such sculptural bowls and platters were produced in short series in the spirit of modernist design of the 1960s and 1970s, and today they are among the most sought-after works of Italian artistic craftsmanship. Authentic vintage Murano glass, ideal as a collector's item, as well as a luxurious accent in an interior inspired by mid-century modern and Italian design aesthetics.
