Boch Frères Keramis Art Deco Vase – Designed by Raymond Chevallier
A distinctive Belgian Art Deco vase produced by the renowned Boch Frères Keramis manufactory in La Louvière and designed by Raymond Chevallier.
The vase has a particularly recognisable architectural form, combining a tall cylindrical body, a gently flared rim, a stepped circular base and two bold scroll-shaped handles. Its soft pink ground is covered with an intricate black floral pattern, creating an elegant contrast with the richly gilded handles and gold bands around the base.
The combination of delicate all-over decoration and strong geometric lines gives the piece a refined yet striking character typical of the Art Deco period. The original Boch Frères La Louvière factory mark is present on the underside, confirming its origin and authenticity.
The vase is in very good vintage condition. The gilded elements show some light wear consistent with age and use, but the piece remains beautifully preserved overall, especially considering its considerable age.

Founded in 1841 in La Louvière, Boch Frères Keramis became one of Belgium’s most important ceramic manufactories and an important part of the country’s industrial and artistic heritage. The factory reached a particular creative high point during the Art Deco period, successfully combining modern forms, innovative decoration and high-quality craftsmanship. Today, its creations are highly appreciated as distinctive examples of twentieth-century Belgian decorative art.
