The vase was made in the 1970s and is of Danish manufacture.
Elegant, heavy glass in a deep cobalt blue shade, designed in the classic aesthetic of Scandinavian modernism. The form, with its bold, architectural vertical lines and subtly rounded edges, beautifully refracts light, giving the piece an exceptionally refined appearance in both natural and artificial light. The original gold appliqué on the front, featuring a building motif and the inscription ‘Hoven Hjemmeværnsgård’, has been preserved, lending the piece a collector’s character and highlighting its provenance. This is a unique decorative element for mid-century modern interiors – it can serve as a vase for small arrangements, a container, or a standalone glass sculpture.
