Vintage “Bird of Peace” / “Bird of Happiness” carafe / vase – Wayne Husted for Stelvia, Empoli, Italy (1960s)
Beautiful mid-century modern art glass object in warm amber/brown glass. This iconic decanter features a beautiful relief of a dove of peace (or bird of happiness) with a flower in its beak, surrounded by leaves and a large flower. The surface is delightfully textured (hammered look), which gives the piece extra character.
