A little history… The Bienaise chair was created in Paris in 1921 by two Americans: Frank and Harry Nelson.
The first French chair designed specifically for office use, its worldwide success spanned the 1930s to the 1970s. Adjustable in height and backrest, it revolutionized ergonomics in the workplace and workshops. From typists to factory workers, everyone had their own model in wood, vinyl, or even papier-mâché; a stool without a backrest, or a fixed or adjustable chair.
