Product description
This sculptural wall lamp from 1975 was designed by Bertrand Balas for the Dutch lighting brand Raak. The model, known as "Balans" (C1550), is featured extensively in Raak catalogs from the 1960s and 1970s and clearly reflects the robust, brutalist design language popular at the time.
Both lamps are in excellent condition. The fixtures can be either recessed into the wall or connected via external wiring. The lamps retain their original suspension systems.
The lamps are crafted from gold-colored brass with a refined, grained texture. They can be mounted with the opening facing up or down, making them versatile, either solo or as a cohesive set. The price is for the two together.
