An exceptionally high-quality, monumental mosaic in brass and stone, embodying one of the most characteristic trends in 20th-century European mosaic art. The work's style and technique are distinguished by airy, radial compositions, light hues, subtle rhythms, and a precise arrangement of the mosaic tiles.
The central element of the mosaic is a radial structure reminiscent of light refraction, the flow of time, or energy. The white, cream, beige, and ice-blue stone and glass mosaics are blended with subtle transitions. The golden glass mosaic inlays radiating from the center of the circle create a focal point, lending the surface dynamism and an elegant shimmer.
This work is an outstanding example of European modernist mosaic art from the 1950s to the 1970s, bringing the aesthetics of church, building, and gallery mosaics into interior spaces.
