A unique antique notary's desk from circa 1830-1850, specially designed for official duties. This remarkable piece of furniture has multiple compartments for organizing documents and a lockable section for important papers.
A striking feature is the built-in safe with a working bell that rings when opened, providing additional security and alerting the notary.
The desk shows signs of wear and patina commensurate with its age. One rear leg has been professionally restored.
