Offered for sale: A unique and very decorative pitcher made from an original copper/brass artillery shell casing. This unique piece of 'Trench Art' features a hand-engraved floral motif on the front and has a beautifully shaped spout and handle. The underside of the cartridge case bears clear historical stamps that complete the story:
Year: 1942 (World War II)
Property mark: The famous British 'Broad Arrow' (War Department arrow)
Other stamps: Including production lot 'LOT A10' and 'CF' (Cordite Full)
The object is in beautiful, authentic condition with a wonderful weathered patina. The jug has deliberately not been polished to a high shine in order to preserve its original historical appearance.
A great collector's item for lovers of militaria, history, or unique vintage decoration!
