The set is hand-painted on a gray-ecru background with floral motifs in blue and red. Luzerner Keramik is a type of ceramic from Lucerne, Switzerland. The pottery, founded in 1957, produced both beautiful hand-painted tableware and decorative, heavily glazed pieces. The set includes a pot with a lid bearing the inscription "Äppis Guets" (Appis Guets), which means "Something Good" in Swiss German.
