The piece of furniture in the photo is a Stag Minstrel chest of drawers. This iconic British furniture line from the 1960s and 70s is made from a combination of wood types:
Solid wood: The frame and legs are usually made of solid cherry wood or sometimes alder.
Veneer: The large surfaces, such as the top and the drawer fronts, are finished with high-quality mahogany veneer.
Finish: The entire piece has been treated with a dark lacquer or stain to achieve the characteristic, deep reddish-brown "mahogany color" for which the series is known.
