Product description
This impressive bronze sculpture, titled "Children with Ball", was created based on a design by the renowned French artist Auguste Moreau. The statue depicts a boy and a girl in a charming, romantic composition characteristic of the Art Nouveau style.
It is a high-quality 20th-century casting produced by the Collection Française. The work is crafted from bronze and rests on an elegant, glossy black natural stone base. The statue is signed "Aug. Moreau" on the side and bears the original foundry stamp with the French lily on the back, as well as the unique serial number CE 167. The dimensions are 52 cm in height, 28 cm in width, and 28 cm in depth, with a substantial weight of approximately 24 kg.
The sculpture is in excellent condition and is completely undamaged. The bronze has retained a beautiful, even patina that accentuates the detailed finish of the clothing folds and facial expressions. This substantial artwork forms a classic and refined element in a representative space. It comes into its own particularly well on a sturdy console or pedestal in a classic or eclectic interior.
