Unique XXL object from Dutch soil
An impressive, hand-formed glass bowl (centerpiece) designed by the famous glass designer Max Verboeket for Kristalunie Maastricht (circa 1960). This piece is crafted from clear crystal featuring Verboeket's characteristic flowing color lines in shades of blue and purple.
Why this piece is special:
This is an exceptionally large model, measuring no less than 48 cm in length. While most bowls from the 'Symphonie' series are smaller, this is a true statement piece that immediately draws attention in a Mid-Century Modern or eclectic interior.
Details:
Designer: Max Verboeket (signed on the underside).
Manufacturer: Kristalunie Maastricht.
Period: 1960s.
Dimensions: 48 cm (L) x 37 cm (W) x 43 cm (H).
Material: Thick-walled crystal.
Condition:
The bowl is in beautiful vintage condition with an honest story. Given its age, there are some signs of use: one small chip on the rim and two small chips on the inside (concentrated in one corner), as well as a few scratches. (The asking price has been adjusted accordingly.) The "points" are undamaged. Due to the irregular, organic shape and the refraction of light in the crystal, these imperfections are hardly noticeable in daily use. The signature on the underside is clearly legible.
