For the connoisseur of pure design and antiques: an original and extremely rare Thonet bentwood high chair, known as Model No. 1.
This iconic piece of furniture is in beautiful, authentic condition with a rich patina.
What makes this example unique for collectors and connoisseurs is the double marking on the underside of the seat rim:
1. The original, exceptionally well-preserved paper Thonet factory label (with the recognizable GT initials).
2. The authentic Thonet brand stamp pressed deep into the beech wood.
This double marking proves that the chair was produced during the absolute heyday of Gebrüder Thonet, between approx. 1895 and 1910.
