Product description
Beautiful antique Japanese Arita porcelain vase from the late Edo / Bakumatsu period (circa 1840-1870). The vase is marked with the studio mark 蔵春亭 三保造 (Zoshuntei Sanpo / Hisatomi), a well-known signature from Arita attributed to Yojibe Hisatomi. With a height of 32 cm, this is an imposing and representative piece of 19th-century Japanese export porcelain. The vase combines characteristic Japanese decoration with an elegant form and is a fine example of production from the period just before and during the Meiji Restoration. Production period: late Edo / Bakumatsu, ca. 1840-1870. Provenance: Arita, Japan (Zoshuntei workshop).
