Designer Patricia Urquiola Patricia Urquiola (1961) was born in Ovied, Spain. She studied at the College of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Madrid and the Polytechnic University of Milan, where she graduated in 1989 with Achille Castiglioni. In 2001, she opened her own studio, where she works on product design, architecture and installations.
