A rare Bauhaus armchair designed by Erich Dieckman in the 1960s. Dieckman was an important Bauhaus designer who began with rigid geometric furniture. After a while, he incorporated more organic shapes in solid wood such as beech and oak. Another feature he often used was rope made from sea grass. These natural materials were combined with standard proportions to allow craftsmen to produce for a wider audience. He worked with the workshop of Vroom & Dreesman (Germany) in the early 1930s. In clean condition, no damage, only traces of use. Size Height 82cm Depth 53cm Width 53cm Seat height 41cm
