A beautiful, sculptural 3-seater sofa in Scandinavian mid-century style, attributed to Illum Wikkelsø (1960s). The sofa features the characteristic organic silhouette, elegant outward-curving armrests, and iconic cross-shaped wooden base (X-legs) familiar from Danish design from this period. Design enthusiasts will instantly recognize the sculptural silhouette.
The frame is beautifully shaped and sturdy, but restoration is recommended given its age. The original vintage upholstery is still present and shows clear signs of age, but provides a good insight into the form and aesthetic of the design. A project piece with great potential for reupholstering.
