Beautiful antique, height-adjustable piano stool from the late 19th century. The wooden frame is in rare, fully original condition: the characteristic ebonized (black) woodwork is uncut and unpainted, displaying the authentic, historical patina and light, honest signs of use that attest to its advanced age. The richly turned spindles and the indestructible steel spindle bear witness to high-quality 19th-century craftsmanship. Authenticity can be seen on the underside thanks to the original recessed mounting ring and the historic slotted screws. The comfortable seat has recently been reupholstered to a high standard in ochre yellow velvet and a classic decorative band. A rare, 'ready-to-go' collector's item with an unadulterated historical soul. Period: Late 19th Century (Napoleon III / Victorian)
