Auguste Herbin: "Nez, 1943." Signed in the plate. Rare antiquarian collotype. The work on high-quality paper is a zelazame antiquarian collotype and is in very good condition. Copyright: 1971 by Franz Hanfstaengel Munich. Auguste Herbin was an important French painter and sculptor, known for his abstract compositions and his contribution to modern art. His works, like Nez, are characterized by clear geometric shapes and bright colors. This color collotype has never been framed and has been kept in dark archival storage among protective acid-free paper.
