Inspired by the menhir shape; An upright, elongated stone placed by prehistoric peoples in Celtic areas 4000-6000 years ago.
The name "menhir" comes from the Breton language. The word is composed of the words "men," meaning stone, and "hir," meaning tall or upright.
The Menhir dining table is handcrafted with multiple layers of Mortex® on a wooden base. Mortex is a high-quality natural plaster that has been used for years for bathrooms, floors/stairs, walls, swimming pools, etc. In terms of composition, it is similar to products like Betoncire or Venetian plaster, but Mortex contains no epoxy or polyurethane resins and is naturally waterproof.
The texture and color shades created after the plaster is applied leave the signature of the craftsman. This makes each piece unique.
The plaster has the same properties as natural stone and is very easy to maintain after the multilayer coating. Because of the material's flexibility, the color and shape possibilities are endless.
