The Astro coffee table is an iconic design by Victor Wilkens for the British furniture manufacturer G Plan, dating from the Mid-Century Modern period. This specific model stands out due to its sculptural, organic base. The glass top is new.
The table is crafted from warm teak wood, which is characteristic of G Plan designs from the 1960s. The round, transparent glass top rests in a wooden frame and offers an unobstructed view of the intersecting, curved legs underneath. The construction displays craftsmanship with visible wood grain and a refined finish.
The furniture is in very good condition, befitting its age and careful use. The original finish of the wood has been preserved and the glass top is new.
