Product description
Beautiful ceiling lamp from the 1970s called 'Artichoke' by the renowned brand Peill & Putzler.
This lamp is made of sturdy opal glass and emits a beautiful light. The lamp is in very good condition. The original manufacturer's sticker is on the socket as a sign of authenticity.
Peill & Zoon was founded in 1903 and merged with Putzler (founded in 1869) in 1947, continuing under the name 'Peill + Putzler Glashüttenwerke'. Throughout its history, the company collaborated with both important designers and other companies such as Raak Amsterdam and Massive. At its peak (in the 1950s), the company employed approximately 1,500 people. In 2004, a year after its 100th anniversary, the company unfortunately declared bankruptcy.
