Vallauris Art Ceramic Duo
Description:
A sublime set of authentic art ceramics from the workshop of Marius Guige (Vallauris).
I am selling this remarkable duo, composed of a large vase and a small pot, testaments to French craftsmanship from the 1960s and 70s. These pieces boast vibrant colors (deep red and volcanic black highlights) and a unique texture that can be felt to the touch: the glaze drips are vibrant, a far cry from industrial production.
Details of the pieces:
Large vase: 21 cm high, weighing 1.163 kg. It bears the inscriptions "E." and "VAL" (for Vallauris), confirming its prestigious provenance.
Small pot: 8 cm x 7 cm, weighing 222 g. It features an intriguing artistic signature with a "G," the name "Marius," a medallion-shaped workshop logo, and a delicate handwritten inscription.
Condition and Material:
The piece is in very good condition. The material is high-quality ceramic, dense and robust. The white base visible beneath the glaze is the "biscuit" (natural fired clay), a testament to its handcrafted authenticity.
These objects are collector's items steeped in history, ideal for adding a touch of vintage luxury to your home.
