This elegant Art Nouveau oil lamp, dating from around 1900, beautifully combines refined metalwork with exceptional glass artistry. The brass frame, adorned with flowing Jugendstil motifs, reflects the organic lines and decorative language characteristic of the period.
At the heart of the lamp is a green glass oil reservoir with golden-yellow iridescence, displaying subtle purple reflections as the light changes. This luminous glass effect is typical of high-quality Bohemian iridescent glass from the turn of the century.
The lamp is completed with a white opaline glass shade, softly diffusing the light and creating a harmonious contrast with the vibrant glass and warm brass tones.
Based on stylistic and material characteristics, the lamp is tentatively attributed to a Bohemian glassmaker such as Kralik or Loetz, with further research currently ongoing.
A refined decorative object that captures the elegance and craftsmanship of the Art Nouveau era.
