This is an Art Nouveau style jug or pitcher, made in 1895, in excellent condition, crafted from ceramic and patinated bronze, signed WL, measuring 24 x 17 x 18 cm and weighing 3 kg. This object is entirely characteristic of the "Art Nouveau" style, which emerged in France in 1890 as a reaction against the excesses of mass industrialization and spread throughout Europe. This style is characterized by inventiveness, rhythm, and ornamental colors inspired by flora and fauna. It was quickly dubbed the "Noodle" style or the "Guimard" style due to the emphasis placed on arabesques over straight lines, particularly in interior design objects. Shipping from France via Colissimo with signature required. An invoice will be provided.
