Japanese-inspired Art Nouveau vase with swallows. Keller and Guerin (Lunéville), circa 1900 - Nancy School. An iconic piece of French Art Nouveau. This superb baluster vase, in excellent condition for a 120-year-old piece, measures 27 cm. The handles and neck are gilded with fine gold. This vase reflects the influence of Japonism on decorative arts between 1895 and 1905. Its decoration features a flock of finely rendered swallows, enhanced by a delicate landscape silhouette at the base. A perfect decorative size, this slender and very elegant "Nancy School" piece will bring a special touch to your contemporary or classic interior.
