Rarity: 8-piece Art Nouveau crystal glass set from around 1900 – Pewter base Green Enamelled – Stamped Hallmark // Rare and Pristine 8-Piece Art Nouveau Crystal Glass Set (c. 1900–1910) Top Condition
For sale is an absolutely exceptional, flawless 8-piece glass set from the heyday of European Art Nouveau (approx. 1900–1910). An exquisite highlight for collectors of historical table culture and a magnificent eye-catcher for the display cabinet.
ORIGIN
The set comes from a well-maintained non-smoking household and has been in my possession for over 30 years as pure display pieces. It was purchased in the 90s in an antique shop / brocante.
THE GOBLETS
Hand-blown, wafer-thin, clear crystal glass with elegant, period-typical cut.
THE MOUNTING
Heavy base parts made of solid metal (fine pewter?). The raised lines and relief structures shine silver, while the spaces are artfully enamelled or painted in a deep emerald green. This gives the floral leaf structure fantastic plasticity.
DETAILS
On the underside of each heavy metal base, there is a fascinating, circular original hallmark (see detailed photos).
Visible letters in the hallmark: "PAAE" and "PRS".
In the center, a vessel with flames or a cornucopia.
Interpretation: The circularly arranged lettering could spell "P A R I S", strongly suggesting a French origin.
The artfully embossed motif, resembling a cornucopia – a traditional French guarantee mark.
Please note: This attribution is made to the best of my knowledge and own research, but expressly without guarantee!
The elaborate hallmarking certainly proves high-quality original craftsmanship from the turn of the century.
THE SET
- 4x Narrow Goblets (for champagne / sparkling wine / fine liqueurs): Height approx. 20 cm, Ø rim top approx. 7.5 cm, Weight 1 glass approx. 256 g
- 4x Wide Coupe Bowls (for sparkling wine coupes / fine desserts): Height approx. 19 cm, Ø rim top approx. 12 cm, Weight 1 glass approx. 296 g
BASE
Uniform diameter approx. 8 cm. Due to the pewter, the glasses have a very pleasant, heavy weight and stand absolutely securely.
Sale without decoration.
CONDITION
Excellent, age-appropriate top condition! The crystal glass has no cracks, chips, flakes, or flea bites. The original metal mountings are firm, the colors are vibrantly preserved, and the base stamps are legible.

As these are highly sensitive antiques, shipping is done in a large 10 kg package using a box-in-box system.
Each glass is individually securely wrapped and placed in a sturdy inner carton, which is shock-proof and completely "floating" embedded in a large, well-padded outer carton. Shipping is absolutely secure!
