Superb Art Deco vase in glazed stoneware, dating from the 1920s–30s.
This piece is distinguished by its elegant, architectural silhouette, as well as its openwork handles integrated into the form, characteristic of French production between the two World Wars.
The glaze displays a deep gradient ranging from caramel brown to purple and black, with drips and variations in color typical of the flamed stoneware of this period.
The underside bears a partially legible marking that appears to be the letter "D". The rest of the inscription is now worn away. This marking, as well as the style of the piece, evokes the work of the Vierzon school, particularly Denbac, although a formal attribution cannot be guaranteed.
The interior is also fully glazed, and the base is partially vitrified, confirming that it is made of stoneware.
A striking decorative piece, ideal for an Art Deco, contemporary, or minimalist interior.
