An exceptional, rare sideboard in the style of late Art Deco and Streamline Modernism – a piece of furniture that immediately catches the eye with its clean lines and striking curves.
The elegant, almost sculptural silhouette with softly rounded sides and a long, serene front gives this piece an impressive presence. The original travertine top underscores its high-quality character and was typical of upscale interiors from the 1930s to the 1950s.
The sideboard combines the elegance of Art Deco with the functional clarity of early Modernism and, in its design, is reminiscent of pieces from the Deutscher Werkbund movement and Central European design traditions.
Inside, the piece impresses with a well-thought-out layout featuring drawers and ample storage space. The original fittings bear the stamp "D.R.G.M." (Deutsches Reich Gebrauchsmuster – German Reich Registered Design), indicating that it was manufactured before 1945 and emphasizing its historical context.

Condition:
Very good vintage condition with age-related wear. The marble top is in excellent condition. The piece has been cleaned and carefully polished, preserving the patina. The original shellac has a beautiful craquelure, and there are only minor imperfections in barely visible areas of the veneer. These have been photographed separately.
