This Art Deco secretary desk is a striking example of the furniture craftsmanship of its era. The design is characterized by the distinctive combination of functional form and expressive wood veneers typical of the Art Deco style.
Crafted from wood with a striking burl veneer in warm brown tones, the piece offers a well-thought-out layout. The left side features a drop-down writing surface that reveals a bright interior with small compartments and a door. The upper right half is designed as a display cabinet with curved glass and a glass shelf. The lower section contains two cabinet doors and four drawers with diamond-shaped escutcheons. A fine, carved molding separates the upper and lower sections.
The secretary desk is in good condition, commensurate with its age and use. The wood surfaces display an authentic patina that underscores the piece's historical character. The keys for the locks are included.
