An exquisite Art Deco picture frame from France, dating to around 1920, featuring a striking sculptural bronzed metal toucan holding a nut, perched on a base of richly veined pink marble. The bird’s stylized form and refined detailing perfectly capture the exotic elegance and geometric sophistication of the Art Deco period.
The frame is fitted with a beveled glass panel supported by two gilt metal brackets, designed to hold a photograph or small artwork. A “Fabrication Garantie No. 802 Guénot” label is affixed to the reverse, identifying the maker and ensuring authenticity.
