Art Deco opaline glass lamp, rare Verreries de Scailmont model, Henri Heemskerk, Belgium
Art Deco lamp by Verreries de Scailmont, made of opaline glass. The lamp is white on the inside and has a flamed finish on the outside. The lamp was made in the first half of the 20th century. The wiring has been replaced with original parts! A Bakelite souquet and ceiling rose are included.
A very beautiful lamp in a rarer, hexagonal design.
The Belgian glass factory Scailmont, also known as Verreries de Scailmont, was founded in 1901. They produced beautiful pressed glass. Around 1924, Henri Heemskerk joined Scailmont as its chief designer.
