A charming Art Deco hand mirror (1920s-1930s), perfect for adding a touch of retro elegance to a dressing table or bathroom.
The back of the mirror features a beautiful geometric and symmetrical design, characteristic of its period. It boasts a finely crafted background with linear guilloché engraving, framed by stylized chevron friezes. The mirror head is distinguished by its octagonal shape with chamfered corners.
The original glass is beveled, highlighting the quality of its craftsmanship.
An authentic piece that has stood the test of time, it bears the marks of age that attest to its history:
- Metal: The silvering has shifted, revealing poetic golden effects when viewed through the glass (natural oxidation and wear of the plating), as well as a few small, discreet dents and micro-scratches from use.
- Mirror: The glass has surface scratches. The silvering is marked by a chip (as seen in the photo).
A sound, solid piece, with no visible marks or hallmarks.
Dimensions: 13 x 27 x 1 cm / Mirror diameter: 11 cm.
