An elegant Art Deco dining or reception table dating back to the 1940s, this table features a strong sculptural presence and refined woodwork. The large, visually striking tabletop is embellished with a splendid walnut burl veneer, enhanced by the symmetrical grain pattern and warm golden-brown hues. The distinctive feature is the contoured central base, with its sinuous, enveloping shape, which creates a unique architectural effect and gives the table a particularly elegant and monumental appearance. The structure, entirely based on curved shapes and the continuity of the grain, is an expression of mid-twentieth-century Italian taste, where the geometric simplicity of Art Deco combines with the decorative richness of fine woods.
